A: Cage-Free means that our hens are not kept in cages but instead have the freedom to roam about at will in barns or outdoor pastures.

(2) Q: Are any drugs, hormones or antibiotics used in producing your eggs?

A: We do not use drugs, hormones or antibiotics, but have chosen to allow the hens to naturally build up their immune systems to disease. This enables us to provide the healthy product you’ve come to expect.

(3) Q: How do you make brown eggs?

A: The color of the egg depends on the color of the bird. Hens with white feathers and earlobes will lay white eggs, and chickens with red feathers and earlobes will lay brownish eggs.

(4) Q: What is an organic egg?

A: Organic Eggs are eggs produced by cage-free chickens that are cared for according to an organic system plan. The eggs are certified organic by Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO).

(5) Q: For what length of time can the eggs be used after the expiration date?

A: The expiration date is determined by state and/or federal law. If you are concerned about the quality of the eggs after the expiration date on the carton, the safest thing to do is to dispose of the eggs. Always remember to cook eggs thoroughly to reduce any health concerns.
