This item is everything the Cage-Free Veggie-Fed brown egg is and in addition, boasts the Omega 3 enrichment.
Why stock Omega 3 eggs? Studies are showing the value of Omega 3, hence the quest for foods containing this essential fatty acid. Eggs produced by chickens on a grass diet hold higher levels of this fatty acid than the conventionally produced eggs. Other methods of enrichment are attained from a diet of flax seed or fish oils. Nature’s Yoke eggs are enriched by feeding flax seed to the chickens.
Like our two top sellers, you’ll find this egg in our clear plastic carton, which features the tri-fold design for heightened safety in transportation. Customers like to see what they are buying and this carton allows them to view the bottom side of the dozen, unlike the pulp carton where customers will need to turn each egg in order to ensure absence of leakage. There is considerably less breakage due to each egg being fully encapsulated in its own cell. Some customers will prefer a pulp carton, desiring the more “earthy” feel, so in consideration of this demand, we have recently begun to offer this same egg, size large, in a pulp carton. We do, however, expect that plastic will remain the best seller.
