3/4 cup cocoa powder

3/4 cup hot water

2 1/2 cups sugar

3/4 cup shortening

3 Nature's Yoke eggs

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups milk

2 teaspoons vanilla

Methods/steps

1. Mix cocoa powder in hot water and let sit to add last.

2. Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy and add eggs.

3. Mix flour, salt and soda and add alternately with milk and vanilla to creamed mixture. Add cocoa mix last.

4. Pour batter int a greased 12 x 18 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
