Our spiced apple bars full of hearty oats, apples and spices make a delightful autumn dessert.  Pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy!

 ½ cup butter, softened
 1 cup sugar
 2 Natures Yoke eggs
 1 cup all-purpose flour
 1 cup quick-cooking oats
 1 tbsp baking cocoa
 1 tsp baking powder
 1 tsp ground cinnamon
 ½ tsp baking soda
 ½ tsp salt
 ½ tsp ground nutmeg
 ¼ tsp ground cloves
 1 ½ tart apple, peeled and diced
 Confectioners' sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in apples.

Spread into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes in preheated oven or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Cut into bars.
